大磯宿～江戸見附・本陣跡
初めて歩く大磯。
旧大隈邸、吉田茂旧邸など、明治時代の有力政治家などの邸宅や別荘が並ぶ場所ということで、勝手にすごい高級別荘地を想像してしまっていたが、街道沿いは、昔ながらの静かな住宅街といった雰囲気だった。
静かなというか、むしろ閑散とした印象すら受けてしまったのは、シーズンオフなのと台風直前で雨降りの日だったからなんだろうな。
そんな住宅地の中に史跡が点在。
これは江戸見附跡。
小島本陣跡は、たしか古いつくりのお蕎麦屋さんがあったと思う。
宿場全体図と、本陣の間取り図が掲載されていた。
大磯宿は、戸塚宿と小田原宿の間にはさまれた小さな宿場という印象だったけど、実は非常に古いところで、平安時代末期には、相模国の国府が置かれていたという。
（地名でも「国府」というのをみかけた）
八畳中心に多くの和室が並んでいて、建坪は246坪。
ほかにも２つの本陣跡があったはずなんだけど、雨の中歩いていたせいか、見落としてしまった。
歴史感じさせるお店も結構点在している。
